We are the Secretariat of China art anthropology institute, the institute is a national first grade institute which is directly managed by Ministry of Culture of the People’s Republic of China. The institute and Chinese national academy of arts will jointly hold the “2010 China International Conference on Art Anthropology”, the registration day is on November 4th 2010, and the meeting is from November 5 to 7. The meeting will be held in Beijing, the theme is “Art anthropology study and intangible cultural heritage protection”.

We have heard so much about your high reputation in art anthropology field, and your research works are actively promoting the academic development. Therefore, we sincerely invite you to attend this conference.

We are now sending you the tentative invitation, please confirm whether you can attend this meeting with paper submission, then we will send you a formal invitation for final confirmation.

I. Tentative topics of the Conference:

i. Theory and practice of intangible cultural heritage protection

ii. Ethnic art research in intangible cultural heritage protection

iii. History and present condition of art anthropology

iv. Ethnography and fieldwork method of art anthropology

v. Art anthropology & contemporary social development

II. Notes:

i. Please fill in the acknowledging receipt after receiving this letter, and send it to us by e-mail no later than June 1 2010 with paper thesis (abstract is not necessary for now) and resume attached.

ii. Please send us the final paper by e-mail after receiving the formal invitation no later than September 30 2010, the papers will be translated into Chinese and officially published after the conference. 

iii. Your round-trip transportation and accommodation is at your own expenses, without conference fee.
