November 25, the Beijing Municipal Education Commission published the assessment results of the 2009 Beijing Higher Education Textbook Construction Project. A total of 540 projects consisting of 32 major supporting projects 126 key supporting projects and 382 regular supporting projects from Colleges and Universities in Beijing were approved. (The assessment process was carried under standard procedures by a commission of authorities with major projects assessed separately)Among them, 21 projects from Renmin University were selected, including three major supporting programs, eight key supporting projects and 10 regular supporting projects.  Two projects from the School of Sociology and Population Studies were included in. "Introduction to Sociology " edited by professor Zheng Hangsheng was assessed as the major supporting project, and "Sociology of Law" edited by professor Guo Xinghua as the regular supporting project.
