The “Investigation of A Hundred Villages” organized by the department of sociology SSPS has finished its field investigation and data entry by March 2010 and moved into data analysis and report wrting. This project is an important part of “Construction of Discipline with National Characteristics” in the charge of Pro Guo Xinhua. Accurately the project has invested current living conditions of rural population from about 110 regular villages in China on the contrast of the past statistics to analyze the changes in their lifestyle from extended angles. The project involved an wide participation of students in SSPS, from all grades.

1521 copies of questionnaires were sent out, 1457 of which was effective. The investigation covered 27 provinces and autonomous regions excluding Shanghai Ningxia Qinghai Tibet Hong Kong Macau and Taiwan.

The investigation has proved to be a good qualification for in good consistent with the result of CGSS.
