Labor Migration, Parentchild Separation and Juvenile Delinquency Chen Gang(1)
Abstract: In China, the existing household register system has led to parentchild separated labor migration and a large number of leftbehind children in outflow place. For the leftbehind children and adolescents who have leftbehind experience, most of them lack care and supervision from parents Their academic achievement, mental health and behavioral norm are worse than other adolescents, hence they might have higher tendency of delinquency. As a result, the parentchild separated labor migration would increase juvenile delinquency in outflow place. Empirical evidence from 65 prefecturelevel cities have supported the above hypothesis well. According to the instrumental variable estimation, population emigration has significantly increased juvenile delinquency in outflow place; with increase of 1% in rate of population migration, the number of juvenile delinquency in outflow place will increase about 8.6 %,the rate of juvenile delinquency will increase about 7.8%. According to the findings from regressionbased decomposition, the rate of population migration is also the factor to enlarge the difference in juvenile delinquency in these prefecturelevel cities; the rate of population migration has contributed about 13.93% to the difference in the number of juvenile delinquency, about 9.52% to the difference in the rate of juvenile delinquency. Therefore, preventing and governing juvenile delinquency demand deepen and reform the existing household register system, and hence promote the overall migration of labor family.

Urban Youth’s Social Confidence and its Influencing Factors
Liu Cheng(11)
Abstract: Social confidence is people’s future expectation based on their realistic cognition, including two levels of confidence in personal affairs and confidence in social affairs.Based on the findings from survey data in Shanghai, most urban youth have higher expectation for social confidence of next five years, but there are some individual differences. As for its influencing factors, the mechanisms deciding urban youth’s “confidence in personal affairs” include three factors of “class status”, “social capita” and “experience of relative deprivation”. Higher class status, richer social capital and weaker experience of relative deprivation are the basis of achieving higher “confidence in personal affairs”. But as for “confidence in social affairs”, the effect of objective class status is no longer significant, the social capital only has some function of promotion, while the weaker “sense of relative deprivation” is the key factor.

Yin Muzi(30)
Abstract: Based on the survey data from “The Present State of Floating Population’s Existence and Development in Beijing”, this study analyzes newgeneration floating population’s participation willingness in mass disturbances with direct interest relevance and nondirect interest relevance, mainly from three aspects including sense of fairness, cognition of government and life satisfaction. According to the results, sense of work unfairness and sense of social unfairness have promotional effects on participation willingness in these two types of mass disturbances, but individuals’sense of unfairness has no significant effect; lack of senses of identity, satisfaction, and trust towards government will promote participation in mass disturbances with direct interest relevance, but would not affect their participation willingness in mass disturbances with nondirect interest relevance; regarding individual factors including life satisfaction, education level, marital status and income level, they have complete opposite influences on participation in mass disturbances with direct interest relevance and nondirect interest relevance. Regarding the emergence of mass disturbances, it has relatively complex reasons, hence the government should conduct different prevention and treatment according to actual situation.

Li Xiaoxiao(39)
Abstract: Subjective wellbeing is people’s subjective understanding of their personal survival situation. It is closely related to personal mentality and social stability. Migrant workers is the emergent group with large number during the period of social transformation. Their physical and psychological conditions would affect the course of urbanization construction directly. Based on the survey data of migrant workers from 13 cities in 7 provinces, this study uses propensity score match method and ordinal logistic regression model to test the influence of damaged rights and interests on migrant workers’subjective wellbeing. According to the results, migrant workers’subjective wellbeing would decrease significantly if their rights and interests are damaged in cities they do work for others. Due to differences in nature of working unit, occupational status and industry, the situation of migrant workers’damaged rights and interests is different. In order to improve migrant workers’subjective wellbeing and the stable urbanization of Chinese society, the government should strengthen the supervision of enterprises, improve legal and policy guarantee system to protect migrant workers’rights and interests, enhance migrant workers’human capital. Regarding migrant workers, they should organize by themselves and safeguard their own benefits positively.

The Cultural Production of Conformists
Cheng Meng & Chen Xian(58)
Abstract: According to Willis’s study, the “conformists” are the foil of the “lads” in the process of producing “counterschool culture”. For most domestic researchers, they also follow this paradigm and focus on the cultural production of academic failure children from social bottom. Through case study of a rural doctoral student’s growth experience, this study tries to explore the characteristic in cultural production of children who came from social bottom but have reached higher academic achievement. According to the findings, rural doctoral students have unique insights into money, gender and rural origin. Just as school is the major place of cultural production for the “lads”, family is also the important place of cultural production for rural doctoral students as “conformists”.

Based on these observations, we could analyze the relationship between status identity of males in nontraditional occupations and existing gender order According to the findings, male nurse students couldn’t achieve the identity of their nurse status due to the conflict from gender status and occupational role; under the pressure of reality, they could relief the conflict from these two statuses through their status of college students and get temporary balance. Meanwhile, by adopting the strategies of “creating the sameness” and “maintaining the difference”, they could manage multi statuses undertaken by themselves .Social gender order is the social framework mainly referred by male nurse students in status identity.

Career Match and Social Adaptation: Social Integration of Mainland Professional Immigrants in Hong Kong
Wang Linlan(86)
Abstract: Based on the research of professional immigrants, this paper tries to put forward that we should discuss social integration of mainland professional immigrants in Hong Kong in terms of career match and social adaptation. There are mainly four types of mainland professional immigrants in Hong Kong, among whom the most typical group are those mainland students who work in Hong Kong after graduation. According to the findings, except in some advantageous industries(such as finance industry), there exists an structural mismatch between professional distribution of mainland professionals and industry distribution in Hong Kong. As for social adaptation, the sense of order in public life under social governance of high rationality coexists with the sense of alienation in private life under constraint of social structural factors, which would make it difficult to settle down in Hong Kong. These factors have led to low percentage of mainland professional immigrants who would like to stay in Hong Kong for long time. Hence, Hong Kong should deal with the challenge of hidden brain drain under the appearance of huge supply from mainland professional immigrants.
