The Comparative Study of Adolescents Moral Outlook in the Process of Modernization

Abstract Based on the investigation of three provinces including Guangdong, Henan and Gansu, this study has the following findings: for contemporary adolescents, they support guiding principle and policy of Central Committee of CCP in politics, endeavor to practice socialist core values in ideology, have the willingness to win good performance in study but motivation is complex; they have general performance in community civilization, better performance in campus civilization, and more problems in performance in family civilization When inspecting the difference in adolescents development of moral character in three provinces, we find that adolescents in Henan province have higher level than the other two provinces, the adolescents in Gansu province have the lowest level, and the adolescents in Guangdong province have the intermediate level Therefore, we propose that we should highly emphasize the construction of moral education text in new normal, gradually improve the mechanism of moral education in big educational system, dynamically grasp the time and space of adolescents development in ideology and moral character, and practically strengthen the team building in education of adolescents ideology and moral character

The Influencing Factors of Youths Evaluation of Government

Abstract Through the analysis of survey data from multiphase of cross section, we have the following findings: for newgeneration youth including Post-80s and Post-90s,their evaluation of government has been influenced by two paths——“internet and sense of social fairness Relatively, the role of internet on government evaluation is limited, while the influence of sense of fairness on government evaluation is decisive After controlling the internet use and the sense of social fairness, the intergenerational effect of government evaluation no longer exists This study has put forward some related policy suggestions from three perspectives: namely adjusting the publics expectation for government reasonably, changing the thinking of internet construction and building up the sense of social fairness positively Hence, we could provide policy references for the construction of government itself

College Students Voluntary Service and Its Function on Social Trust

Abstract Up to now, the study on relationship between voluntary service and social trust is based on kindnature theory of voluntary service Contrary to this theory, this paper puts forward inconsistency hypothesis regarding the influence of voluntary service on interpersonal trust Based on the survey data from Beijing Normal University, this paper has concluded that voluntary service does have inconsistency influence on the level of interpersonal trust among different groups In the process of providing service, if these volunteers often feel that they are trusted and needed by others, their service capability and communication skill will be enhanced, their social network and social willingness will be strengthened, then their voluntary service will have positive influence on them By denying kindnature theory of voluntary service, this paper not only finds new dialogue base for different theories on trust, but also provides a new perspective to analyze the existing problems in Chinas voluntary service

The Evolution of Given Names and Times Change

Abstract Based on the percentages of popular given names in 3173 samples from ten cities and 97543369 samples from the whole country, this paper analyzes the evolution of given names under the background of times change Based on the related studies, we explore the tendency of times change in Chinese selfindependence from 1950s to 1990s,using ten years as the distinguishing criterion According to the results, based on the analysis of samples from ten cities and the total analysis of whole country, the percentages of Chinese popular given names were declining gradually from 1950s to 1990s Hence we could conclude that Chinese selfindependence were strengthening gradually from 1950s to 1990s

The Study on Urban Residence Willingness of Post-90s Floating Youth

Abstract With their unique intergeneration characteristics, the post-90s floating youth have attracted research passion from many scholars Using survey data from The Dynamic Monitoring of National Floating Population in 2015, this paper tries to analyze and summarize the group features of post-90s floating youth and the influences of each factor on urban residence willingness of post-90s floating population According to the results, the influencing factors including gender, ethnicity, household registration, marital status, education level, mobile scope and inflowing area all have significant differential influences on urban residence willingness of post-90s floating youth For post-90s floating youth, if they have higher capability in urban life security and employment status with higher social capital, their longterm urban residence willingness could be enhanced significantly On the basis of these analyses, in order to promote the urban integration of post-90s floating youth, we put forward several inspiring policy suggestions, that is comprehensively enhancing young populations educational level, encouraging young population to conduct neardistance mobility around hometown, and rapidly completing the necessary reform of urban public services, etc

The Bludgers Participation in the Process of Projects to Villages

Abstract Regarding the bludgers participation in the process of projects to villages, it could provide the suitable perspective to examine the relationship between state and rural society under the background of the entry of resources into countryside Based on the practical experiences of projects to villages in three villages, this paper tries to present different types of the bludgersparticipation in the process of projects to villages and their political and social consequences, then tries to explore the underlying cause from the perspective of stateSociety relations The study shows that operating villages, operating projects and the grey agents are three main types of participation for these bludgers to intervene in the implementation of agriculture related projects; and they could lead to some political and social consequences, including the solidification of village power structure, the block of resource input channels, and the shrinkage of rural governance space The bludgers participation in the process of projects into villages and their power are conspicuous, and this has revealed the adjustment and disordering of connecting bond between state and rural society Under the new situation, how to straighten the relationship among the state, the rural governance organization and the village society, and how to realize the institutionalized permeability of the state into rural society will become the acting point in the study on the modernization of grassroots governance and national governance capacity

The Equalization of Basic Public Education Services and Its Influencing Factors

Abstract Using the data of 2013-2014 school year from China Education Panel Survey, this paper investigates the differences between urban area and rural area, local residents and migrants and the variation among different countries in three basic public education services provided for middle school students in the stage of compulsory education The three basic public education services are the exemption of book fees, the acquisition of free lunch and the subsidy for poor students According to the results, for middle school students in the stage of compulsory education, the equalization of basic public education services hasnt realized yet There still exists big difference between urban area and rural area, and difference among different areas Students with household registration in other counties have less opportunity to acquire the subsidy for poor students than students with household registration in local country Based on these findings, this research puts forward several suggestions that the related departments should pursue during 13th FiveYear Plan These suggestions include solving the difference in quality of public education service between urban area and rural area, the difference among each area; especially enlarging the strength and implementing the work of the subsidy for poor students in floating population

Time, Space and Marriage Inequality among Males in Rural China

Abstract Using qualitative data collected from eastern and western communities in China, this study analyzes marriage strategy of rural males who meet difficulties in getting married from the perspectives of time and space The results indicate that there exists a trend of concentration of bachelors into remote mountain areas or poor areas; in these areas, there also exists a trend of involution in special marriage strategy Before reform and opening up, policy of household register and geographical space not only limited peasants place of birth, but also shaped marriage market in mountain areas; but they also brought about marriage opportunity for some males who met difficulties in getting married After reform and opening up, with females moving into richer areas through labor migration, household register system and geographical space have led to marriage opportunity inequality in space

The Logic behind Derailment

Abstract As the hot topic in contemporary China, we still lack detailed discussion on derailment on the basis of empirical study Through analyzing the data from Chinese Health and Family Life Survey, this paper tries to examines the influencing factors of extramarital sex behavior in details This paper conducts the regression analysis of extramarital sex behavior from whole sample and subsample, and tries to explain the phenomenon of derailment in contemporary China from several perspectives, including the variables of demography, the variables of concrete situation in family, and the variables of perception and opportunity on derailment, etcAccording to the empirical results, the perception of derailment could predict extramarital sex behavior significantly; whereas the influence of be wellmatched in social status is relatively small and obvious only in rural area Regarding the influences of other variables on derailment, there also exists differences in each subsample

Division of Household Labor and Young Females Gender Consciousness

Abstract Family is the main place of human life, and household labor is the primary responsibility undertaken by young female and male in family As the most primitive social division, the traditional family division of gender has put female in the disadvantaged position in social relationship and family relationship Hence we need to build a new pattern of family division corresponding to the new society This article discusses these issues from four aspects, including young female and males family responsibilities, young females perception of division of household labor, explanatory factors of division of household labor, and young females awakening of gender consciousness Moreover, this paper also answers the questions related with division of household labor in family, and young females awakening of gender consciousness which is coordinated with the progress of social civilization
